A community-first leader building decks and the next generation of tradespeople with purpose.
Angela “Angie” Wolf leads Deck Dogs with the precision of a business operator and the heart of a mentor. As co-owner of this family-run company, Angie blends Wisconsin grit with warmth, treating her team like family and her clients like neighbors. She manages everything from permitting to people — balancing HR, marketing, and sales — all while staying deeply rooted in the rural community she serves.
She and her husband (known as “Big Dog,” a nod to the company’s origin story) co-founded the deck division of their broader construction brand. Angie’s day-to-day leadership has shaped Deck Dogs into a trusted name, not just for high-quality decks, but also for authentic relationships and long-term impact.
Angie didn’t just step into the role by herself: She helped build it with a great team. Since 2009, she and the team have steered Deck Dogs through seasonal shifts, evolving building codes, and the challenges of managing multiple crews year-round. She works closely with clients and the Deck Dogs crew to ensure each project reflects their vision and is backed by expert craftsmanship.
Whether it’s managing subcontractor-free installs or mentoring young apprentices, Angie’s leadership is defined by consistency, clarity, and care. She is grateful for the entire Deck Dogs team that makes her job easier.
Deck Dogs is now a multi-crew operation that has built 1,000+ custom outdoor living projects across South Central Wisconsin.
She helped pioneer the business’s involvement in the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program, hiring local high school students and training them in real-world construction environments. Angie believes a strong work ethic starts early — and Deck Dogs reflects that belief at every job site.
Whether it’s a sprawling wraparound porch or a space-efficient rooftop deck, Deck Dogs designs spaces that are safe, stylish, and built to last.
These stories reflect more than great craftsmanship—they highlight the comfort, beauty, and value our decks bring to homeowners’ lives.
